It's that time of year again folks and Comic-Con is right around the corner. This year's show runs Thursday, July 23rd through Sunday, July 26th. I'm happy to announce that yours truly, cartoonist and master Jedi Patrick Scullin, will be attending this year's show. Visit me the entire week at table P-02 in the Small Press pavilion. This year we're listed as Super Siblings Comics so come on over, pick up some original art, buy some books, or just come by for a chat. Like you, I'm looking forward to seeing old friends and making new ones so don't be shy!

Comic Con has come and gone and what an action packed and entertaining event it was. Thanks to all the friends and fans that came to visit the Banshee Comics booth, it is greatly appreciated. We had a great time promoting the new Super Siblings Comic Books and Comic strips. Copies of Super Siblings #1 are still available and can be purchased by clicking here. Book Expo America

Last week the Book Expo America came to Los Angeles. Banshee Comics made it's first trip to the event and enjoyed it immensely. We attended the Saturday portion of the show and made our way around the convention floor and visited many of the Graphic Novel seminars.

We attended the first annual Graphic Novel breakfast which turned out to be a standing room only event. The sold out nature of the breakfast to us, says a lot about the state of the industry. Graphic Novels are the hot item and according to the sellers and publishers at the show, are one of the only truly growing segments of the book store business. It's exciting to be entering a market that is growing and seems hungry for content. Even though we're still in the beginning stages, Banshee is eager to get some books finished so that we have some quality work to pitch.

Super Siblings is the first title Banshee will publish. The weekly strip is running strong and on schedule and the first printed comic book will be available at Comic-Con. A digital version of the first 12-page issue will be available at BansheeComics.com by the middle of June 2008.

THANK YOU to everyone that came to visit me, Patrick Scullin, at my booth. It was great fun this weekend at Wizard World LA. Notably, I promoted Super Siblings which premieres on May 1st 2008. Check back here and you'll be able to get a FREE DIGITAL COPY after that date. I showed the production copy to fans and professionals and received a good response, most of all it made people laugh and smile, which I consider the best response. I hope to turn Super Siblings into a serial comic and I have many story lines planned. Currently I hope to release a 12 page story every 2 to 3 months. Don't be confused by the Wizard World listing, since the time that exhibitors were listed on their website, artist David Malki and I have switched booths. If you wind up at his or at mine by accident we will kindly direct you to the correct booth. New Years Resolution

Hi All! Thanks for you interest in Banshee Comics created by me, Patrick Scullin. Creating comics is a wonderful creative outlet for me, but unfortunately unlike my characters, I am human. This means that I have not reached my goals and completed my books as promised in 2007. Looking forward to 2008 I expect to get back on track.

"Super Siblings" issue #1 is nearing completion (it looks awesome I might add) so check back for preview panels at our page on Comic Space in the coming weeks. Issue #1 should be completed and published in the 1st quarter of 2008 with additional issues coming out every 3 months. Each issue will be released as a digital comic 1st with a printed copy to follow.

The graphic novel "Hunter" is another matter. While I feel my story is sound, the technique I've been using isn't working. I'm not happy with the results thus far so I am working on a new illustration style that is more appropriate. When these creative issues are resolved I will start to promote new release dates. Thanks again for your support and good luck with your own New Years Resolutions.

Patrick the Wolf Boy is a comic created by Art Baltazar. I had the great opportunity of meeting Art at Comic Con this year. I picked up a few of his books too and I highly recommend them! Patrick the Wolf Boy is a great series and I wish them the best of success. I want to thank Art also for his encouragement and advice. It meant a lot and I'm going to follow his example with my series Super Siblings. See you next year at the Con.

It includes all 32 penciled pages plus complete text. Be the first to read the story and wet your appetite for the full version that is scheduled to be released in the Fall of 2007.

Super Siblings

Super Siblings is a an original story created by Patrick Scullin. It is currently being pitched as an animated television series. It can also be adapted into a comic series. Super Siblings follows the antics of Conrad and Courtney Clark, brother and sister by day and arch enemies by night. What's the catch, they have absolutely now idea the other's secret identity. Henchman

This illustration is part of a pitch proposal for a new graphic novel entitled Henchman. Henchman was written by Steve Whitestone. This image is a panel I penciled, inked and colored. Steve and I decided to enter a publication contest at ComicCon 2007 put on by Platinum Studios. If we are selected their may be an opportunity for the public to vote in support of our idea so we'll keep everyone posted.

Welcome to Banshee Comics. Banshee is an opportunity for me, Patrick Scullin, to self-publish comic books and graphic novels. As an illustrator I’ve been hired by a number of clients to produce images that fit their vision. Now I can put on paper and the web the vision that I’ve got in MY head. As with many other illustrators and designers, comics played a critical part in my development as an artist. It has always been a dream of mine to work in the field. Instead of waiting around to finally break into the business, I like many others, have decided to self-publish. It may or may not be a lucrative endeavor, but it feeds the artistic beast all the same.
